Project summary

Here’s how we set the stage for success

Website redesign and development. eCommerce. Digital marketing. SEO strategy.

Adlib is a leading European supplier of venue and event technology. Dock has worked with the Knowsley-based business since 2023, when we took on the day-to-day creative, technical and marketing of their website portfolio. With a number of successful projects under our belt, we continue to deliver Adlib's digital marketing strategy to grow its organic keyword ranking and increase user engagement.

The challenge

As Adlib grew, their website developers recognised they were unable to dedicate enough time to support Adlib’s growing portfolio of services and increased website development requirements. Based on our sound reputation, the developer recommended that Adlib use us.

(It’s always good to hear people think highly of you.)

We reviewed the main Adlib website and identified a number of areas where we could provide immediate returns. Being an honest bunch, we were candid with Adlib about what they needed, and how we - or others, if they preferred - could help.

“We work together very well. They’re very good at communicating.”

The solution

We started by delivering multiple workshops and developing a SOSTAC* digital marketing strategy to help future-proof Adlib's online business.

We then redesigned the core site pages, starting with the most popular sections by user persona. Next, we migrated their product catalogue and sub-brand over to the main site and developed new site templates to host fresh content.

The result was an easy-to-navigate 'one-stop shop' for their core customers.

More recently, we:

  • Carried out a card sorting exercise - resulting in a new sitemap
  • Assisted with onboarding a new CRM system
  • Designed the pages of a new eCommerce solution to drive customer conversions and retention
  • Designed and built several microsites for Adlib sub-brands

*SOSTAC stands for Situation, Objectives, Strategy, Tactics, Action, and Control, in case you were wondering.

“The brilliant thing about Dock is that they're agile.”

The result

Our redevelopment of the Adlib website saw a significant reduction in pages and content.

However, thanks to our weekly design and development sprints and bi-weekly SEO calls, the site has thrived - achieving a 10% YOY increase in page impressions and a 15% increase in total clicks.

Our efforts have led to substantial growth in Adlib's organic SEO ranking for multiple keyword search terms and overall SEO profile.

Suitably impressed with our work, Adlib asked us to redesign a website for their sister company.

Quotes c/o Dave Kay @ Adlib.

“The reason we chose Dock was their personality, the people. They’re dynamic and not bland.”
